London Buying Trip
The management team’s last buying flurry for Spring was in London and what an amazing and hectic couple of days it was! Battersea Park hosts the annual White Gallery event where the top bridal wear and bridal accessory designers flock to from all over the globe to exhibit their wears. The White Gallery is always at the cutting edge of bridal fashion and this year did not disappoint.
We met up with the ladies at maidstomeasure and there are even more elegant maids styles coming our way for Autumn/Winter, we particularly loved the forest green and burgundy shades. Miranda Templeton and Ivory and Co’s accessories were as stunning as ever, it’s so hard not to get carried away, we took quite a few pieces in rose gold which were really unique. It’s also very hard not to get carried away on the Eliza Jane Howell stand. Beautiful beaded cap and full length sleeve creations, as well as some gorgeous chiffon/tulle beaded combinations that will punctuate the collection.
St Patrick Studio made their UK debut at White Gallery and we are very excited to announce that we will be a premium stockist of their exciting new collection, you are going to be seeing a lot of this label, so watch this space. Another new exciting addition to our list of designers is Florence shoes. These current, quirky and on point styles are in store already. We also had the pleasure of meeting Wendy Rivera the internationally renowned bridal industry coach and we are really looking forward to working together in the future on her “do you speak bride programme” every day is a school day as they say!
If all of that wasn’t exciting enough we also met with Ian Stuart, Suzanne Neville and Ellis outwith the White Gallery event. Ian Stuart hosted his Le Jardin 2018 collection in his flagship blewcoat store against a backdrop of beautiful blooms. With the most gorgeous 3d flower appliques, metallic lace and lashings of tulle and taffeta we know you will love the new collection as much as us.
The fashion house Ellis and Kelsey Rose are just the nicest people to work with. That care and passion, along with over a hundred years in the industry comes across in their romantic and classic bridal and bridesmaid collections.
Last but definitely not least was our annual trip to the Tower of London, yes the Tower of London. The most spectacular of catwalk destinations. The quality of Suzanne Neville’s dresses is breath-taking, they are always effortlessly elegant. This year’s Belle Époque 2018 collection hosted some sexy low backs and plunging necklines as well as some stunning textured, metallic foil and brocade fabrics.
